TEXANZ Lamb & Game Rub We started with a Texas-style base, then added in some flavours from south of the border to come up with a salt and pepper hit, followed very quickly by subtle yet firm Cumin flavour profile, finishing with a hint of mint on the back end.  It's delicate enough to let the flavour of the meat shine but has enough body to stand up on its own. TEXANZ Pit Barrel Heat Deflector Plate A fantastic innovation for the Pit Barrel Cooker brought to you by TEXANZ This is designed to optimise airflow and let the circular flow of the PBC / PBX continue while providing protection from direct heat below. This is perfect for any cuts that lie on the grate for a longer cook. The deflector provides the ideal set-up for cooking brisket, pork butts, lamb shoulders, individual chicken cuts and more. We have also left enough cutouts in the plate to allow fat to drip onto the hot charcoal so you can still get the same great taste the Pit Barrel is famous for. Note: These are made from mild steel, and some surface rust is normal and expected.

Tip Top Temp Akorn Adaptor Kit Some clever customers experimented with and confirmed that wall plate hanger clips work great for holding the Tip Top Temp down onto Akorns! They MAY work on other grills. OOK hangers and other manufacturers are available at most any housewares and hardware store however we have made them available here for your convenience. The plate hanger shipped may be OOK or another manufacturer. Note: This is an adaptor/clips to attach a Tip top Temp to an Akorn, it does not include the Tip Top Temp unit.

Tip Top Temp C4F 100mm Vent Controller - Akorn Jnr This is a prepackaged TipTopTemp and includes a 1/2" high temp silicone spacing gasket to fill the gap on the smaller fixed vents. Designed for the Akorn Jr grills. Here is how the TipTopTemp works. The bi-metal coil moves the damper when the temperature changes. As the exhaust warms the coil it will shut the damper. As the coals cool, the coil will open the damper allowing more air to enter and the coals to get hot. The cycle will repeat keeping the desired temperature. Although designed originally for the Weber kettle, it is being used on the Big Steel Keg, Big Green Egg, Akorn and others. Some additional products have been used by the customers to secure the TipTopTemp® to the grill.  Check out our shop to see options we offer or check relevant forums for "hacks" to get the TipTopTemp® working on other grill types. The only difference between the packages is the included accessory. Each package has the same TipTopTemp device.

The TipTopTemp® has a five-inch diameter base, a three-inch diameter second stage and is about three inches tall. The grill temperature regulator uses bi-metal coils to control airflow to the kettle.  The dial  on top of the TipTopTemp® allows for grillers to customize the airflow.
