Polish Dogs on the Pit Barrel Cooker

Enjoy amazing Polish Dogs cooked on the Pit Barrel Cooker using our brat hanger!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package polish dogs (or hot dogs)

  • romaine lettuce boats

  • pretzel buns

  • 1 white onion, chopped

  • 1 bell pepper

  • 1 jalapeño

  • 1.5 oz of tequila

  • 1 lime

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • honey BBQ sriracha

  • condiments of your choosing

  • saurkraut (optional)

DIRECTIONS

POLISH DOG PREP

  1. Light your Pit Barrel® according to lighting instructions

  2. Load polish dogs into the Pit Barrel® Sausage, Hot Dog and Brat Hanger and hang in Pit Barrel® Cooker. Smoke until the polish dogs begin to char. Remove from Pit Barrel® Cooker.

ONIONS, PEPPERS, JALAPEÑO PREP

  1. Slice an onion, bell pepper and Jalapeño and place in a bowl

  2. Add 1.5 oz of your preferred tequila to the veggies

  3. Squeeze lime juice into the veggies.

  4. Add Salt and Pepper to taste

  5. Grill veggies in a pan or on griddle (for extra flavor grill over the Pit Barrel® in a cast iron pan)

POLISH DOG ASSEMBLY

PRETZEL BUN

  1. Butter pretzel bun and toast in a pan or on a griddle

  2. Lay down cooked veggie mix on the cooked pretzel bun

  3. Add Polish Dog

  4. Top with Honey Sriracha bbq sauce and mustard

LETTUCE WRAP

  1. Place a leaf of romaine lettuce on a plate

  2. Add a layer of veggie mix on the lettuce boat

  3. Add a few spoonfuls of Sauerkraut

  4. Lay down Polish Dog and top with Honey Sriracha bbq sauce
